Welcome
to Rancan Gamma Knife Centre, India
The Rancan Gamma Knife Center (RGKC), part of the NMC group of medical
establishments, located at VIMHANS Hospital, New Delhi has completed
11 years of dedicated service.
Rancan Gamma Knife Centre offers safe, noninvasive, painless, bloodless
neurosurgery. The Gamma Knife is a remarkable tool that allows neurosurgeons
to operate on abnormal areas of the brain without making an incision.
Using a technique called stereotactic radiosurgery, the Gamma Knife
uses gamma rays produced by 201 cobalt-60 sources to precisely target
and destroy abnormalities within the skull. Because the gamma rays
are so finely focused, surrounding healthy tissue is not affected.
Patients have been treated from all over the world, at Rancan Gamma
Knife Centre for conditions such as Parkinson's disease, Obsessive
Compulsive Disorders (OCD), Essential tremors, Chronic Glaucoma, brain
tumors, arteriovenous malformations (abnormal, entangled blood vessels),
trigeminal neuralgia (a disorder characterized by excruciating pain
in the face, mouth, or teeth) and other symptoms.
